Do you think you know where metal came from? Do you have information about the roots of the various genres we look at in Tracks Of Creation? If you have anything you think that other people should know then tell us. We'll be publishing a collection of all the input we receive over the next few months and publish it in the next issue. Those that have a great deal of knowledge to share, or some unknown insight will win stuff (we'll have a variety of T-Shirts, tapes, and CDs to give away).
What we're looking for are answers to the questions of where metal came from. And we're also looking for answers as to how the other genres, gothic, dark, industrial, etc... got their name and where they originated from. If you know the name a few bands that started the genre, or the progression of an area, then tell us.
Here are some questions to think about (don't limit yourself to just this, feel free to tell us anything about the origins of the genres):
Feel free to answer those questions or anything else. This will lead up to the question we wish to ask in the next issue as to what do you think the future holds in store for the music.
All submissions should be sent by email to Borcek@ratw.com If email submission is not possible then send written responses to:
Tracks Of Creation c/o Neil St.Laurent 2-2744 Brentwood Blvd NW Calgary, AB T2L 1J4 Canada
We look forward to what you have to say.
