Hero's Call by Ed Stal

Can you see if you are forgiven,
do you know what you've done wrong,
so far in the past how could you remember,
yet it pervades your future from what I see,

in the aisle of a darkened room,
beyond the shadows of doubt,
alone in the corner of hate,
abandoned to live your life, here!

Did it ever come to you in the night,
was it forseeable that it may be wrong,
so many shades of gray it all seemed black,
but for a single shining spot of white,

standing beside an elder man,
inside reading the enclave,
adjoined to a spire of the abyss,
forever lost your life, gone!

Could you see the sign of an evil land,
did you notice ravens circling overhead,
so fucking strong you couldn't be wrong,
and right you were standing tall and proud,

grander than a petty death,
larger than your simple mind,
holding a sword of right,
engraved your name forever, here!
