It isn't too often that I write a poem under my name...
It is not negative you wish to speak,
but merely a covert positive sneaking around,
all things manifest grotesquely to the eye,
but must be interpreted as such by the mind.
Don't shadow what may be overt interest,
with a deeper drive for affection,
the one who speaks may merely be speaking,
possibly intimidated by those too strong.
To understand another can be curiosity,
but why attempt for knowledge not grand,
the battle to reach within is frustrated,
by continually erected barriers around.
Heed your own words but practice not,
advice for another may not be what they want,
but the speach of the different being,
and the ear to land something on.
True value comes from both sides of the coin,
play your own advocate in absense of another,
but don't dismiss the presence of one,
Even the most waterlogged tears get scorched under the sun.
Prop thee a little higher than you do,
The sincerity is often lost if I do more so,
As I'm obliged to answer the other side of the coin,
but I can speak strict truth, if you ask me to.
